The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board has changed the start time of equestrian and triathlon events of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
The IOC and the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee have decided to hold the events early in the morning because of heat. The triathlon competition will start at 6:30 a.m. instead of 7:30 a.m. and the equestrian competition will be held at 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. instead of 8:30 a.m..
Earlier it was decided to move the Tokyo 2020 marathon and race-walking competitions to Sapporo due to heat where is 5-6 degrees cooler than in Tokyo.
The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will be held in the capital of Japan from 24 July to 9 August.
