European current champion 61 kg weight class freestyle wrestler Arsen Harutyunyan lost 2:12 to Russia’s Abasgadji Magomedov in the final of the 24th Stepan Sargsyan Freestyle Wrestling Tournament.

After the final Arsen Harutyunyan commented on his performance at the tournament.

“I had tough fights before the final. After the European Championship I was curing my shoulder injury. It was a little difficult for me. The tension was high and also I feared for my injury. I hardly reached the final and was defeated there because of my mistake; I did my job badly and lost. After the European Championship I wasn’t able to work on my mistakes because I had an injury. I have trained only 15 days. After the tournament we are going to spend a training camp. I’ll try to learn from my mistakes. As my coaches noted I’ll be more alert after this loss. I will work hard to have a good participation in the world Championship,” he said.
