In the first matchday of the qualifying round of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship the Armenia youth team lost to Ireland with a minimal score.

The only goal of the match which was played in Irish capital Dublin was scored by 17-year-old Tottenham forward Troy Parrott in the 31st minute.

The Armenia U21 national team will spend its next match on September 9 being hosted by Iceland in Reykjavik. The Italy, Sweden, Luxemburg U21 national teams are included in the same group.
