Two new records were set off at the “Presidents Cup” of Armenian shooting federation, especially stood out the junior athletes. The ANOC vice president, Derenik Gabrielyan was present at the finals and awarded his personal cup to Benik Khlghatyan, who showed excellent results in the air pistol and blitz exercises. The Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Gabriel Ghazaryan also attended the award ceremony. According to the exercises the winners became: Air gun, boys: Hayk Babayan, Hrachik Babayan, Suren Beryan (60 shoots). Girls: Susanna Hovhannisyan, Svetlana Tigranyan, Mariam Mikaelyan (40 shoots). Air pistol, boys: Sevak Arshakyan, Benik Khlghatyan, Norayr Arakelyan (60 shoots). Girls: Elmira Karapetyan, Gohar Danielyan, Astghik Mkhitaryan (40 shoots). Air gun, running target, normal race, boys: Aleksandr Andreasyan, Razmik Minasyan, Arthur Petrosyan (30+30 shoots). Girls: Lilith Mkrtchyan, Gohar Harutyunyan, Laura Avetisyan (20+20 shoots). Air pistol, running target, mixed race, boys: Shant Sargsyan, Razmik Minasyan, Arthur Pertosyan (2x20 shoots). Girls: Lilith Mkrtchyan, Laura Avetisyan, Margarita Mosyan (2x20 shoots). Air gun, blitz exercise among boys and girls: Hrachik Babayan, Svetlana Tigranyan, Suren Beryan (40 shoots). 65 athletes took part in the Presidents Cup. They were representing the shooting sports school after Yuri and Zinaida Simonyan, Yerevan shooting Youth school, Republican shooting school and sports school of Municipality of Gyumri, Vanadzor’s team. And for the first time in the history of independent Armenia CSKA also took part in this competition.
