The head coach of the Armenian boxing team, Karen Aghamalyan, opines that Aram Avagyan and Hovhannes Bachkov had very tough bouts.

''Both of them had very tough bouts. Aram's defeat in the first round was unexpected for me; we didn't think that the opponent was so active. Aram won thanks to his precision. As for Hovhannes, I can say that this is boxing and every mistake can be decisive. But he could recover thanks to his willpower,'' the head coach stressed.

At the 31st Summer Olympics Armenia's two representatives, Aram Avagyan and Hovhannes Bachkov celebrated victories in the first bouts.
