The 6th round games were held at the European Individual Women’s Chess Championship.
Armenia’s women’s chess team member Lilit Mkrtchyan gained advantage over Azerbaijani Gunay Mammadzada. Maria Kursova celebrated victory too defeating Daria Charochkina. Armenia’s current champion Maria Gevorgyan won for the second time in a row gaining advantage over Greek Marina Makropoulou. Lilit Galoyan was the only Armenian chess player who tied the game in the 6th round.
This year the European Individual Women’s Chess Championship is held in Mamaia, Romania. It has kicked off on May 27 and will end on June 8.
