Sambo 2017 European bronze medalist Kolya Karapetyan has passed away after a severe illness on 29 November.
The 30-year-old athlete had got injured at the 2017 European Championship after which he had been struggling for life for 2,5 years.

The Sambo Federation of Armenia has expressed condolences to Kolya’s family, relatives and friends. President of the International Sambo Federation Vasili Shestokov also presented his condolences.

Kolya Karapetyan’s mourning service will take place on 30 November at the Erebuni Funeral Home (Address: 2-14 Khaghagh Don St, Yerevan) and will begin at 18:00 pm. The funeral will take place from the same place on 1 December at 13:00 pm.
