At World Arm wrestling Championship held in Kuala Lampur, Armenia won 4 medals.

Ashot Adamyan, Left-hand (60 kg) won the second place and Right-hand the third place. Vladimir Mnatsakanyan (85 kg) won a silver medal Left-hand. V. Sedrakyan (75 kg) took the 6th place Left-hand, and 16^th place Right-hand. Armen Chapukhyan (100 kg) took the 7^th place Left-hand and 18^th  place Right-hand.
