Round 8 games were played at the European Individual Chess Championship.

Armenia’s grand masters Robert Hovhannisyan, Hovhannes Gabushyan, Arman Pashikyan, Hrant Melkumyan and Gabriel Sargsyan won. Samvel Ter-Sahakyan and Zaven Andriasyan lost while Manuel Petrosyan tied the game.
Now Robert Hovhannisyan has got 6 points and is one point behind the leader. Hrant Melkumyan and Samvel Ter-Sahakyan have 5, 5 points each.
This year the European Individual Championship is being held in Gjakova, Kosovo. The championship will end on May 23. It is comprised of 11 rounds.
