These days Yerevan hosts the Eastern Europe RADO Board meeting which is attended by Georgia’s, Macedonia’s, Moldova’s Armenia’s, Montenegro’s and Albania’s anti-doping agencies’ representatives.
The guests also visited “Olympavan” where Armenia’s anti-doping agency is situated and is of a great importance for anti-doping fight.
NOC’s Secretary General Hrachya Rostomyan told the guests about “Olympavan” and showed the whole structure.
“This is really a wonderful structure. Every detail is taken into consideration here. It will benefit Armenian sport and athletes. Here you have also an anti-doping center which is of a great importance for anti-doping fight not only in Armenia but also in the region. It is impressive to see such a structure in Yerevan. The Armenian are lucky having people like Mr. Gagik Tsarukyan who during these years has always been next to sport unselfishly investing huge amounts of money for the development of Armenian sport and anti-doping fight”, Director of European Regional office of the World Anti-Doping Agency(WADA), Frédéric Donzé said in a conversation with ANOC press service.
Another member of meeting Tom May, WADA Manager of Doping Control and Development who was silently observing “Olympavan” said to ANOC press service that he was fascinated by the building.
“Everything is wonderful and perfect, you have all conditions here. I am confident we will continue to collaborate closely with the anti-doping agency of your country”.
The members of the Eastern Europe RADO Board meeting will also visit “Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine- Vodka Factory.
