The Organizing Committee of the 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games has begun the preparatory works in Beijing.

“We must organize fantastic, unforgettable and wonderful games”, President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping said to the organizers.
Beijing will be the first city to host both Summer and Winter Olympic Games.
Beijing was elected the host city of the 2022 Winter Olympics at the 128th Assembly of the IOC beating Kazakhstan’s Almaty only by 4 votes.
