Zaven Andriasyan, a member of the Armenia chess team, took the second position at the European Blitz Chess Championship in Estonia.
As a result of 22 matches the Armenian grandmaster scored 17 points and conceded only by additional rates to the winner, Russian Igor Lysyj. Russian Andrey Esipenko, the third place holder, also scored 17 points.
Gabriel Sargsyan, another Armenian representative, placed 18th with 15 points.
Earlier the two Armenian representatives had taken part in the European Rapid Chess Championship in Estonia where Gabriel Sargsyan had been crowned champion and Zaven Andriasyan had placed 13th.
