Arsen Julfalakyan, an Olympic silver medalist, world and European champion, has participated in the Alrosa Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Cup held in Moscow.
In the first bout Julfalakyan won 10:2 ahead of time Venezuela’s Rivas Vueliksis.
On the second day of the competition the Armenian wrestler took part in a confrontation against the Russia team as a member of the world team. He faced two-time Olympic, two-time world and four-time European champion Roman Vlasov and lost 2:3. The bout was held in the 77 kg weight class.
12 bouts were spent in the confrontation and the Russia team won 11:1.
Let us recall Arsen Julfalakyan and Roman Vlasov had also met in the final of the Olympic Games London 2012 where the Russian wrestler had celebrated victory.
