Greco-Roman wrestler Slavik Galstyan at 63 kg has reached the semifinals of the World Championship. In the quarterfinal of the championship underway in Nur-Sultan he celebrated a volitional victory 3:3 over Uzbekistan’s Islamyon Bahramov and in the 1/8 finals he had defeated 16:7 Azerbaijani Elman Mughtarov.
Wrestlers of 55, 72 and 82 kg weight classes also performed at the World Championship kicked off in the Kazakh capital today.
At 55 kg Norayr Hakhoyan started form the qualification round where conceded 3:7 to Japan’s Shota Ogawa.
At 72 kg Malkhas Amoyan made his debut in the Senior World Championship. He entered the competition from the qualification round where won 8:0 Serb Aleksa Erski ahead of time. In the 1/8 final Amoyan’s rival was Polish Lucian Bernatek whom Malkhas defeated 7:0. In the quarterfinal Malkhas Amoyan wrestled against European current champion Russian Abuyazid Mantsigov and lost 0;4.
At 82 kg Maksim Manukyan won 4:1 Kyrgyz Kalidin Asikiev in the qualification round and in the 1/8 final lost 3:7 by touché to Russian Adlan Akiev. The latter one was beaten by an Iranian wrestler, therefore Manukyan left the struggle.
