Extreme heat will most likely become the full participant of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
That is why the International Association of Athletics Federations has made a decision to investigate the reaction of athletes’ bodies to high temperatures with the help of “smart pills”.
The authors of the investigation say the data will help to create effective measures against dehydration and overheating at the Olympic Games next year.
WADA spokesperson told insidethegames that temperature monitoring devices in general don’t contradict to the rules of WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency).
