The Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee has announced that it selected renowned artists to produce works of art on Olympic theme. Through the posters the artists will convey the Tokyo 2020 spirit and vision which is a part of a program all host cities of the Olympic Games have to implement for making the Games more popular.

A new committee comprising world-famous artists has been formed. The Olympic posters will be produced by the end of this year and will be displayed at public exhibitions as well as on licensed products from the beginning of 2020.

The committee has chosen famous Japanese as well as four overseas specialists for the creation of the posters.

The posters have been created since the early 20th century and are aimed to advertise the major sporting event.

The posters express the originality of each Games. Many of Olympic posters have become cultural icons.
