The European Weightlifting Championships has kicked off in Batumi.

The first Armenian representative to start the struggle was Izabella Yaylyan at 59 kg. In the snatch she showed a 96kg result and won a small silver medal while in the clean and jerk out of the three attempts Izabella could lift only one, 111 kg.

With the total of 207 kg Izabella Yaylyan placed 5th.

Tomorrow Armen Grigoryan will perform at men’s 73 kg.
