Armenia’s representative Anastasia Galustyan failed to overcome the obstacle of the qualification round of the World Figure Skating Championship kicked off in Saitama, Japan.
In the women’s short program event Galustyan got 47.75 points taking the penultimate, 39th position. 40 athletes competed at short program, 24 of which qualified for the final and on March 22 will perform the free skating program.
In the men’s competition Armenia will be represented by Slavik Hayrapetyan who will compete at short program on March 21. As a result of the draw Slavik Hayrapetyan will be the first to perform the short program.
Along with the athletes and their coaches the championship has also been assisted by president of the Armenia Figure Skating Federation Melanya Stepanyan and vice president Ari Zakarian.
