The first Memorial Athletics Tournament after Meloyan brothers was held at Artashat municipal stadium.

The internationally scheduled Memorial Tournament was qualifying and had brought together about 50 athletes from the state sports schools for the long and triple jump competitions. Our athletes failed to gain Olympic qualifications.

In the triple jump Aramayis Sargsyan became the men’s competition winner and Christine Harutyunyan  - the women’s. In the long jump Artak Hambardzumyan and Christine Harutyunyan took the first place
