At the European Individual Chess Championship held in Gjakova, Kosovo, Armenia’s Robert Hovhannisyan finished 13th (7, 5 points).
In the last round Hovhannisyan drew the game with Denmark’s representative Tari Aryan. Arman Pashikyan (35th place) lost. Samvel Ter-Sahakyan (24th place), Zaven Andriasyan (30th place), Manuel Petrosyan (47th place) and Gabriel Sargsyan (39th place) tied the games. Hrant Melkumyan (36th place) and Hovhannes Gabuzyan (43rd place) celebrated victories.
Ernesto Inarkiev became the winner of the European Individual Chess Championship scoring 9 points from 11 possible.
