Armenian athletics team member Amalya Sharoyan has conquered an Olympic qualification at the Athletics Qualifying Tournament in Albania.
At the tournament held in Tirana Sharoyan registered 6m 72cm at long jump exceeding the norm for Olympic Games – 6m 70cm - and simultaneously became the winner of the competition.
In the men’s triple jump competition Levon Aghasyan took the first place scoring 16m 03cm but didn’t exceed the Olympic norm.
Before the Armenian Athletics Championship which will be held on May 28-29 the athletes will have other opportunities to gain Olympic qualifications.
