The Armenian Adults Swimming Championship has kicked off at “Grand Sport” Sports and Wellness Complex.

In the first day of the championship in the 50m freestyle event Armenia’s champions were named Vahan Mkhitaryan and Monica Vasilyan. In the 100m breaststroke event Vanik Barseghyan and Elen Yesayan had no equals. Winners in the 100m backstroke became Artur Antonyan and Ani Poghosyan. The best results in the 400m freestyle event were registered by Artashes Adamyan and Monica Vasilyan. In the complex swimming of the same distance Levon Khachatryan and Nane Vardanyan became champions. Artur Barseghyan won in the 200m butterfly event and swimmers of the Junior Specialized Diving School of Olympic Reserve after David Hambardzumyan came in first in the 4x50m freestyle event.

The championship will be holding till April 30. This year 120 swimmers from Yerevan, Gyumri and Vanadzor take part in it.
