Head coach of the Armenian weightlifting team Pashik Alaverdyan is happy with the results registered by the team at the European Championships.

“The team had a perfect participation in these European Championships, the best ever.  The most important and remarkable is the fact that the every kilo our athletes lifted is closer to the kilos they have to lift at the Rio Olympics. This team is a contender and with such results it can compete for medals at the Rio Olympics. Bur we have much to do before the Olympics”, Alaverdyan noted in a conversation with ANOC press service.

The Armenian weightlifting team placed first with conquered medals. The Armenian weightlifters captured 8 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze medals in Forde.
