Armenia’s weightlifting team members Hripsime Khurshudyan and Ruben Aleksanyan became winners of the Russian President’s Cup.

At the Russian President’s Cup held in Kazan Khurshudyan (+75kg) snatched 110kg and in the clean & jerk she scored 136kg, with 246kg of double event the Armenian weightlifter won the Cup. Three weightlifters competed in the 75kg weight class.
Ruben Aleksanyan (+105kg) managed to hold 189kg in the snatch, in the clean & jerk – 189kg and with the double event of 430kg he triumphed at the tournament.
On the eve Armenia’s Arakel Mirzoyan (94kg) had placed 5th scoring 320kg in the double event.
Armenia participated in the Russian President’s Cup with 3 athletes – Hripsime Khurshudyan (+75kg), Arakel Mirzoyan (94kg) and Ruben Aleksanyan (+105kg).
