The Armenia Greco-Roman wrestling national team is having a training camp in Tsakhkadzor from 11 to 25 December.
Eduard Sahakyan, the team’s acting head coach, spoke about the trainings and summed up the year in a conversation with the ANOC press service.
“We have started the trainng camp well and continue it with the same spirit. The main purpose of it is to increase the wrestlers’ physical fitness but we train on the mat too. The training program also consists of skiing. Before the European Championship to be held in February we will take part in a tournament in French Nice and will have another training camp in Olympavan. As for the performances of the team I’m pleased: I just regret there were wrestlers who could do more but didn’t do it,” he said.
