In the last, 10th round of the 2020 European Championship qualifying tournament the Armenia national team lost 1:9 an away match against the Italy national team, Group J leader. In the match held at Renzo Barbera Stadium one of the guests’ goals was scored by Dannish Hobro’s midfielder Edgar Babayan in the 79th minute.

It was the biggest loss of the Armenia national team in its history. Abraham Khashmanyan’s team took the penultimate, 5th position in Group J with 10 points. In10 matches of the qualifying tournament the Armenia national team had 3 wins, 6 losses and one draw.
