The Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee announced that applications for participation in the second lottery for Tokyo 2020 Olympic ticket sales will be accepted from 13 to 26 November 2019. This is the last ticketing phase for residents of Japan.
The tickets will be available at affordable prices – an average of JPY 2,500. Families living in Japan whose members include children, senior citizens or individuals with impairments will be offered to buy tickets with a price of JPY 2,020. This price will also be available as part of a schools programme targeting over one million students across Japan.
During the two lotteries applicants can select up to 18 tickets in each one.
However, adding together the results of both lotteries an individual won’t be able to purchase more than two tickets for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, four tickets for sessions which include medal events and six tickets for all other sessions.
The lottery results will be announced on 18 December.
