Armenia’s representative Norayr Hakhoyan (55kg) has got a chance to spend a bout for a bronze medal at the U23 Senior World Greco-Roman Championship underway in Budapest, Hungary.
Norayr Hakhoyan, who lost the first fight on 1 November, got a chance to wrestle for a bronze medal and won 8:0 Hungarian Richard Racz in the first repechage bout, in the second one he was stronger than Indian Arjun Halakurki, 10:2. In the evening the Armenian wrestler will compete with Azerbaijani Zaur Aliyev for bronze.
On 2 November Davit Ovasapyan (130 kg), who on the eve lost in the semifinal, will fight for a bronze medal too.
Armen Melikyan (60 kg), who started performing on 2 November, has qualified for the semifinal after having two victories. Hayk Melikyan (67 kg) lost in the first bout and left the competition and Hrant Kalachyan (72 kg) and Arman Vardanyan (82 kg) lost in the quarterfinal after starting with a win.
