U23 World Championship: Arsen Harutyunyan to spend a bout for bronze

Armenia’s representative Arsen Harutyunyan will spend a bout for a bronze medal in the 61 kg weight class of the U23 Senior World Freestyle Wrestling Championship being held in Budapest, Hungary.
The European current champion started the competition from the 1/8 finals where defeated 10:5 Mongolia’s Chinzorig Tsermaa and in the second bout he was stronger than Iran’s Esmaeli Yakhkeshi. In the semifinal Harutyunyan lost to Indian Ravinder Ravinder by touché. In the first part of the bout the Armenian wrestler was winning 3:0 but at the beginning of the second part Ravinder showed a four-point trick and won by touché. On 30 October Arsen Harutyunyan will wrestle for a bronze medal.
Khachatur Papikyan (74 kg), Hovhannes Mkhitaryan (86 kg), Sargis Hovsepyan (92 kg) and Hovhannes Maghakyan (125 kg), who performed on 29 October, suffered defeat.
Hovhannes Mkhitaryan at 86 kg will spend a repechage bout and will have a chance to fight for bronze.
Earlier on 28 October Razmik Misakyan (57 kg), Vazgen Tevanyan (65 kg), Arman Andreasyan (70 kg) and Arman Avagyan (79 kg) had lost and left the struggle.
