Karapet Chalyan at 77 kg lost the bout for a bronze medal at the World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship coming to an end in Kazakhstan.
The Gyumrian wrestler fough for the bronze medal against Iranian Mohammadali Geraei and lost 6:9.
The Armenia Greco-Roman wrestling team ended its performances with two medals at the World Championship. Earlier Slavik Galstyan had become a world bronze medalist and Artur Aleksanyan had won a silver medal (97 kg). The Rio 2016 Olympic gold medalist, three-time world and four-time European champion hadn’t taken part in the final match because of an injury.
