Wrestlers of 67, 87 and 97 kg weight classes learned the names of their rivals at the World Wrestling Championship underway in the Kazakh capital.
Three Armenian wrestlers will enter the struggle for medals and Tokyo 2020 qualifications.
Karen Aslanyan at 67 kg will start from the 1/16 finals where his rival will be Tajik Akhmedov.
Artur Shahinyan at 87 kg will start performing from the 1/32 finals. His rival is Cuban Daniel Gregorich Hechevarria.
Artur Aleksanyan at 97 kg will enter the competition also from the 1/32 finals where will face Belarus Hrabovik.
As it is known today Slavik Galstyan at 63 kg will fight in the semifinals where his opponent will be Russia’s Stepan Maryanyan.
Malkhas Amoyan at 72 kg and Norayr Hakhoyan at 55 kg are still waiting for their chance to wrestle for a bronze medal.
