Hovhannes Bachkov (64 kg) who had won a gold medal in the boxing tournament of the European Games told the ANOC press service about his impressions after the award ceremony.

“I’m proud to be a European Games champion. This victory is the way I have passed through years. It’s another way to new success. I have goals and for realizing them I needed this victory. My next step will be to turn my bronze medal into a gold one in the World Championship,” Hovhannes Bachkov said.

Earlier in the final of the boxing tournament of the European Games ended in Minsk, Hovhannes Bachkov had defeated 3:2 French Sofiane Oumiha .

Boxer Artur Hovhannisyan (49 kg) also became a gold medalist of the European Games on June 30.
