Boxer Hovhannes Bachkov at 64 kg has qualified for the semifinals of the European Games underway in Minsk.
In the ¼ final Bachkov fought against Greece’s Alexandros Tsanikidis and celebrated victory, 5:0.
Reaching the semifinals Bachkov secured at least a bronze medal.
Hovhannes Bachkov had entered the ring from the 1/8 finals where had had a confident win 5:0 over Irish James Mc Givern.
Earlier Karen Tonakanyan (60 kg) and Arthur Hovhannisyan had reached the semifinals.
Armenian boxers Anush Grigoryan (51 kg), Baregham Harutyunyan (52 kg) and Gurgen Hovhannisyan (+91 kg) who performed on June 26 suffered defeats in the ¼ finals. Today Gor Nersesyan (81 kg) will enter the ring too.
