Samboist Arsen Ghazaryan (74 kg) became a bronze medalist of the European Games being held in Minsk, Belarus.
In the fight for a bronze medal the Armenian samboist had a victory 10:2 over Greece’s Georgios Markarian.
Arsen Ghazaryan had started the competition from the quarterfinals where he had lost 1:2 to Russia’s Stanislav Skraibkin.
The Armenian samboist had got a chance to participate in the repechage round where he had won 3:0 Azebaijani Abdula Abdulaev.
After that win Gazaryan had got the right to fight for a medal.
On June 23 Grigor Sahakyan at 90 kg and Tigran Kirakosyan at 52 kg will also wrestle for medals.
Sahakyan will face Georgian Pata Gviniashvili in the bout for bronze and Kirakosyan will compete with Azerbaijani Aghasif Samadov for gold.
Let us recall on June 22 the struggle was continued by samboists David Grigoryan (82 kg), Maksim Manukyan (57 kg) and Asya Lalazaryan (48 kg).
Grigoryan became a silver medalist while Manukyan and Lalazaryan lost the bouts for bronze medals.
