Armenian gymnast Vahagn Davtyan won a bronze medal at rings of the Individual European Championship in Artistic Gymnastics coming to an end in Szczecin, Poland.

Our gymnast had his last performance and gained 14,933 points. In this event Armenia had 2 representatives. The other athlete, Arthur Tovmasyan, came 7th with 14,700 points. At rings Russia’s Denis Ablyazin was crowned European champion with 14,966 points, Italian Marco Lodadio who ended up with same points won a silver medal.

On the eve Arthur Davtyan who had qualified for the finals on the 8th position remained on the same spot ending up the 8th. Arthur Davtyan is the first substitute in the vault event and can only perform in the final if one of the finalists refuses to compete.
