Soon Greco-Roman wrestlers will start the struggle at the European Wrestling Championship in Bucharest. Today wrestlers of 55, 63, 77, 87 and 130 kg weight classes will enter the mat.
Armenia’s representative at 55 kg Rudik Mkrtchyan will begin from the qualification round where his opponent will be 2018 world bronze medalist Georgian Nugzari Tsurtsumia.
At 63 kg Slavik Galstyan will start the struggle from the qualification round too facing Norwegian Stig-Andre Berge.
At 77 kg Olympic silver medalist, world and European champion Arsen Julfalakyan will meet Netherland’s Marcel Sterkenburg in the qualification round.
At 87 kg world and European champion Maksim Manukyan will start the competition from the qualification round where his rival will be Heikki Herman Metsomaek from Finland.
At 130 kg David Hovasapyan will enter the mat from the 1/8 finals where he will wrestle against world ruling champion, Olympic bronze medalist Russian Sergey Semyonov. Earlier, the freestyle wrestlers ended their performances and Arsen Harutyunyan became a European champion at 61 kg.
