Armenia’s men’s chess team came second at the European Team Chess Championship beating Georgia’s team. In the last round Levon Aronyan and Sergey Movsisyan gained a victory, Gabriel Sargsyan and Hrant Melkumyan played draw. Armenia - Georgia 3-1. After 9 rounds Armenia had 13 points. Hungary and France also had 13 points but conceded in additional points. The champion of the European Team Chess Championship became Russia (15points) playing draw with Hungary in the last round.
