The 1st European Deaf Martials Arts Championships (Judo, Karate, Taekwondo) are being hold at the House of Culture and Sport of the Deaf in Yerevan. Many European countries take part in it. On October 27 the karate tournament took place and the nest day the taekwondo athletes competed. On October 30 the judoists will compete. “This Championship will be an experience for us for holding international tournaments. Now we know that can organize such events”, told the vice president of Armenian Taekwondo Federation, Vardan Ghahramanyan the ANOC reporter. The European Championship is attended by Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey, and Ukraine. About 250 delegates arrived in Yerevan. The referees are both from Europe and Armenia.
