Armenia's representative at the 31st Summer Olympic Games, Greco-Roman wrestler Mihran Harutyunyan has qualified for the final of the Olympic Games.

Harutyunyan's opponent in the first fight was Egypt's Saleh Kahk. The Armenian wrestler managed an absolute victory (9-0) over the opponent.

In the second fight Harutyunyan won Korean Hansu Ryu 2:1 and continued the struggle in the semifinals where he defeated Azerbaijani Rasul Chunayev.
