The members of the Armenian Olympic team are looking forward to the launch of the 31st Summer Olympic Games.

During the last few days the team members have managed to get acquainted with the Olympic village, establish new contacts with other athletes and, the most important, they continue preparing with a strict training program for the most important sporting event of the last 4 years, the Olympic Games.

The Olympic village designed for more than 10.500 athletes looks like a “world capital” where people speak all languages.

These days, of 33 athletes gained Olympic qualifications, only wrestlers are not in Rio. They will arrive in the Olympic city from August 9.

The official ceremony of flag raising took place on August 3rd.

On August 5, at 20:00 local time the legendary Maracana will stage the solemn opening ceremony of the Rio Olympic Games.
