The official website of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia continues the project, “Road to Rio”, before the start of the 31st Rio Summer Olympic Games where it will tell about the athletes representing Armenia at the Olympics, and their photos made by photographer Hakob Berberyan specially for the “Road to Rio” project.
The next hero of our project is weightlifter Gor Minasyan, one more representative of Gyumri. He was born in 1994. Gor is one of the most buoyant members of the Armenian weightlifting team and has a sharp sense of humor characteristic of Gyumri residents. The super heavyweight weightlifter is a world bronze medalist, youth Olympics and European silver medalist. Minasyan is one of the most promising athletes of Armenian weightlifting.
