Armenia’s athletics team member, triple jumper Levon Aghasyan who has an Olympic qualification has become the winner of the Balkan Athletics Championship.

Aghasyan finished first with a 16m 49cm result. Israel’s and Bulgaria’s athletes placed second and third, respectively. Another Armenian athlete, Yervand Mkrtchyan, came in second in the 3000m running with a 8m 20. 09sec result. In the 1500m running Yervand Mkrtchyan managed to set a new Armenian record. The athlete overcame the distance in 3m 50. 41sec.
